How can I use the search function at its best?

Simple search

If you enter a keyword into search fields, this is interpreted as a whole word. Search terms have to be at least four characters long. Umlauts are treated as the corresponding vowels. If you want to search for a coherent sequence of words, please embed the affected terms in double quotes "".

Truncation

Do you want to search for partial terms, you can use * as a placeholder. Please note that you must set the placeholder both at the beginning and at the end of the search term, if the search is intended to provide results that contain the word part in the middle.

Example

The search for Haus returns:
  • Haus und Hof

but not:
  • Ein altes Häuschen
  • Baumhaus
 The search for Haus* returns:
  • Ein altes Häuschen
  • Haus und Hof
but not:
  • Baumhaus
 The search for *Haus* returns:
  • Haus und Hof
  • Ein altes Häuschen
  • Baumhaus
